Okay people!
It is officially time to play catch up on this here blog.
I have been putting it off forever, but I need some sort of record of our Summer.
This may bore most of you seeing as I have pictures clear back from Easter... sad but true.
First off I have an amazing husband who is a stud. He decided randomly to enter into the Spudman Triathlon this year. Just for the heck of it. We found him a decent bike off of KSL and he started training in between work and classes. In other words he didn't actually have time to train that much. This is why he is a stud. The Spudman is held every year in Burley, Idaho right by the Snake River. It involved 2000 other participants. You would think since I grew up right there that I would know all about this here race and would have at least watched it a time or two. Not even once. So I was pretty excited/impressed with how big of a deal it was. The day before we checked him in, got his number and gear, and dropped of his bike. Later that night they held a big dinner and went over rules and such. The morning of Adam, I and my parents woke up at 5:30am. For those of you who know me well know that I am not a morning person. At all. I did it though! I even made him breakfast before we headed out. I was way more nervous then Adam was. I kept asking him not to drowned on me. The swim is pretty hard {so I hear} and he had only swam a few times during the summer. Hence why I feared for his life. The swim is in the river and it is 1 mile. Adams division started the race at 7:10. Once out of the water he transitioned into his biking gear and began his 24 mile bike ride. While this was all going on my parents and I were running to all the spots to try and capture pictures. We of coarse were enjoying ourselves. After the biking there was another transition spot were he took of for his 6 mile run. This was what he trained the least for so in his words he "took it easy on the run." The three of us watching and my brothers family all gathered around the finish line to watch him run in. I was so happy to see him come out of the trees! He finished just under 3 hours. I seriously couldn't be anymore proud of him. Who just does that to check off a list? Well, he did. We talked about how this time he was just participating, but maybe next time he will compete. Another thing is that he wished he had someone to do it with him. It's always more fun when you have a buddy to bike/run with. Sooooo..... do we have any takers for 2012? I have many family members who are athletic. Wanna join in on the fun? Also, you can do it in teams. I would totally be up for running. I haven't a clue how to swim and would rather jump in the water and attempt it than bike.
On another note...
It's FRIDAY!! Yahoo for weekends.
I will be spending mine with awesome family in Logan.
We will be showering it up for this here baby boy whose name is yet to be discovered.

That's so awesome Adam wanted to do that- and with not that much training. He was a stud that competed in the spud/stud man! haha. I'm excited to see you this weekend!
Adam is awesome! That is so cool he did that. And in 3 hours too! I think it would take me 3 hours to just do one of those things! I can't wait to see/read/hear more updates!
That is a great accomplishment! I'm totally proud of him and of you for being a great supporter.
Way to go Adam! A mile swim is a BIG deal. I would FOR SURE do that as a team. As long as I get dibs on the biking. My swimming and running are not my strengths. In fact biking isn't my strength either, sleeping in is my strength. But I think I could just got for a few rides next summer and represent our "team" well. Fo shizzle, I'm serious, let me know if you are.
yaya!!!! way to go adam! so impressed.
