We spent our weekend with a bunch of these lovely people. Kirk {the guy holding the G} turned 30 so we got together to celebrate. We love our time with all our friends. That's defiantly an area that we were blessed in. Our friends are a huge part of our life. They are pretty much like family to us. I spent my single collage life living with all these girls from day one of moving to Provo and we have all been close since. Awesome part is that all the hubby's are great friends as well. These pictures are from our sleep over party that we all got together for in December. Yes, we do get a little silly late at night.

POWER OF PEOPLE
So I have these amazing friends who love to create.

We love taking chances and putting our creative minds to the test.

Last year we attempted our first craft fair and I made these joyful things. This year we took on 2 more. I enjoyed mostly the time that I spent with these two chickas pictured above...

Lyns & Jessa
{and Mel who came along for the ride!}

Making headbands was quite fulfilling, but making memories with these two was far better.

NOW...
Sorry this took me so long to post. Email me if you would like to purchase!

My friends and myself all believe that we were born in the wrong era.

We love all the lovely things in life like pretty hats...
skirts...
tea cups...
and such.

We all got together {missed you Britt} for a lovely little tea party. Yes, we at times are still little girls at heart, but if we weren't I don't think life would be full of so many whimsical moments.

P.s. I love being a girl.

wiTH LOve

Dear Santa Clause {aka Adam},

Once again you have spoiled me rotten. I had such a wonderful holiday and received everything I wanted on my list and then some. How is it that you know what I like more than I do myself? I guess that's why you got the job and no other man did. Thank you, thank you for another lovely Christmas.

xoxo,
Mrs Clause

ps. I love you more!
Dear Moses & Vicki,

Thank you so much for opening up your house to us this year. It was my first Christmas away from home and I'm not going to lie I was a little anxious about just that, but you made it so wonderful for me. We loved having a sleep over with you guys and the younger siblings. I defiantly loved staying up late watching Polar Express and helping out on the gift wrapping extravaganza. We both agree that you two rock!

Love,
Your Daughter-in-law
Dear Heavy-D & G-bird,

Kids on the farm! I'm so happy that it worked out with Adam's work schedule that we could come visit you before the big day. Christmas wouldn't be complete without a trip to the farm and a crazy drive through a windy snow storm. We loved our time with you guys and enjoyed putting together the fun puzzle and watching my all time favorite movie 'White Christmas'. Can't wait to see you our way in January.

Sincerely,
Baby Cakes
Dear Photography,

I have enjoyed getting to spend more time on you over the last few months. You have brought a lot of joy into my life and I thank you for it. I promise to upgrade my camera soon so that we can advance a few things. Question for ya...how did you know I needed you when I did?

Thanks,
denZ

P.s. I have really had a blast with you on blog #2 photographybydenz.blogspot.com
Dear Headache,

Seriously, I loath you. Please leave me alone so that I can live my life without constant pain. That would be awesome. You defiantly have been in the way, especially over the last 10 days which has been so inconsiderate of you, it being the holidays and all. I am on my last string. PLEASE go away. I have had to wear this tensing machine more than I would like and the Doc can only do so much at a time. Enjoy your torture while you can because I have schedule an appointment for next Monday with Doc #2. That's right...they are teaming up against you! HA!

You Suck,
Sydney Jan
Dear 2009,

Where ever did you go? I can't believe by the end of the week you will no longer be something present but something of the past. I wish I could say you have been my favorite, but instead I would have to say you have been a great teacher. I've learned a lot...and because of that, this year has been very special to me. I don't feel like I am the best person that I could be, but a whole lot closer because of you. I'm going to miss you truly. Thank you for giving me so many cherished memories to look back and remember you by. I'm scared for 2010, but more prepped and ready due to all your hard work. Thank you for molding me for the future.

With Love,
Syd

mY ThaNKful LiST

I'm thankful for the 2 mouth watering dinners that we had {one with friends, one with the Smith family}. Food is a favorite thing of mine, so when I have amazing food I'm as happy as can be. I have to say that this Thanksgiving has been my favorite. I will always remember turkey day of 09.
I'm thankful for all the movie theaters all over the world. Over the last week I was able to see New Moon with my friends, and The Blind Side with some of my family. Loved them both so much that I will probably have to see them again while they are still in the theater. While on the subject I must say I am also thankful for movie theater popcorn. There is nothing like it.
I'm thankful for Adam. Seriously, couldn't be anymore in love with him. While we were staying in Idaho for the holiday we had some visitors at my parents house. I became very thankful for guns that night. The husband and my brother Nick were entertained hunting the 5 unwanted guest. Okay, maybe I was a bit sad about the whole thing, but it makes me feel better knowing my mom wont freak out every time she goes outside.
I'm thankful for the beautiful weather we had all week. It's not every Thanksgiving you can actually go outside and play in the yard with the kinder and have a game of football. Of coarse, as always, I'm thankful for the open country. I'm not going to lie, it' s great not being seen every time you walk out your door.
I'm thankful for parents. I'm even more thankful that after 37 years my parents {who rock hard core and I love} got rid of the green beast of a dryer they had and purchased a new one. Well done.
I'm thankful for our friends and our many, many adventures we have with them.
I'm thankful for the day after Turkey day when all City Christmas lights go on. That also means I can start listening to wonderful Christmas music. Falalalala lalalala
I'm thankful for this amazing drink I came across. Sparkling apple-peach...hello! I think i could have downed a whole bottle myself.
I'm thankful for all my siblings and Adam's as well. We laugh ten time harder because of them, which at the end of the day makes life even more perfect. I'm thankful for a healthy body that that allows me to participate in races like this. I don't think I have ever almost thrown up at the end of running...eh I blame the cold air. I'm thankful for supportive communities. We had a wonderful family from my parents area that lost a Dad, and two brothers {whom of which had a family and a fiance of their own} die in a plane crash over the Summer. The annual Turkey trout this year was in memory of them while half of the proceeds went to this family. Mingo's, you are all still in our prayers.

I'm thankful for all our nieces and nephews. I recently read the conference talk by President Henry B. Eyring titled, 'Our Perfect Example'. He mentioned a memory he had of watching a room full of children singing the song, 'I'm Trying to be Like Jesus'. He said after they were done with their song..."It seemed to me that they were not just singing;they were declaring their determination. Jesus Christ was their example. To be like Him was their fixed goal. And their eager looks and their shining eyes convinced me that they had no doubts. They expected to succeed, They believed that the instruction of the Savior to be perfect was not a hope but a command. And they were sure He had prepared the way." I'm thankful for these sweet kids because I believe just that. I want to be more like them.

This is Lynds and Ty. Let's just say they are a pretty awesome couple. I had a blast working with them and enjoyed the occasional peace sign they would pull out while posing. In three more weekends I get to travel to Wyoming with this chicka to set up our very own booth at a boutique fair. And guess what! Before selling "my thing" which is Christmas stockings, I'm going to let all you readers have a go at it. Stay tuned until next weekend. In the mean time check out more of their pictures on their blog http://tyandlyndsgardner.blogspot.com/

Over the weekend I had a blast taking fall pictures for Nate and Ellen aka "the roomies". They actually live in our basement so we get to kick it with these guys 24/7. It's pretty much a party every night and we love it. Just last night we stayed up playing one mean game of uno. I think we have already coordinated our future plans with each other.

neVeR to OLd

Is it weird that we still have sleepovers with our friends and stay up until 2am playing games like Ninja? Truth be told, I still think it's just as fun as it was back in the days of being a youngster when we would stay up all night to TP someone house. Ahhh the memories.

So it's time for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

I will start with the good...
My two favorite girls from New York City are back in the glorious state of Utah. One stayed with us upon her return to Salt Lake, where she will be living and starting a job at Primary Children's Hospital. We are anxiously awaiting for visitor number 2, Jessa.

Now for the bad...
Our favorite married couple, Mel & Kirk, are moving away to Logan. They decided it was their time to "grow up" and take on a great career opportunity. Let's just say that I cried throughout dinner, fireworks, and in bed until 2am. Yes, I am attached and a big baby.

Last, the ugly news...
Adam came home yesterday with a mustache. Why is this ugly news? For those of you who know my cute Dad, he himself has a mustache and it is quite grand. It's hard not to compare. I love my husband. I do not love the stash. He knows this and that is why he surprised me with it yet again.

mHs 2003

Over the weekend we were able to enjoy a tasty lunch with this girl and her hubby. Hayley is a dear friend of mine from High School and I was stoked to catch up on life with her. There are some pretty rad memories with this gang that I will always cherish.

To my free spirited friend on her birthday...
I will cherish every adventure we ever had, every cliff that we jumped off of, every evening out on the river wakeboarding, every sleepover we attempted to stay up all night, every conversation that involved laughing, and every example that you set for me on just plain being happy in life. Hayhay, I miss you dear friend.
