Call me crazy but I love wind.
It makes you really breathe, and I for one sometimes need that.
A few Sundays ago my lovely Mother was visiting and we drove through the Alpine Loop. It's an amazing drive through the American Fork Canyon to the Provo Canyon. And of course, we had to stop and take a little stroll around Sundance.
I got in some good deep breaths that day, as the wind was perfect up in the mountains.

Sundance is one of my favorite spots in Utah.
I'm not a big camper, but I love taking drives and occasional hikes up the mountain.
I love running the Provo Canyon trail.
I love visits from the G-bird.

you grew up with the wind, so it's no surprise you love it. I, on the other hand, grew up w/ it and I hate it- it's a pain to me- stuff gets in my contacts, my hair gets messed up, things fly around that should stay put- but I'm glad you can see the good in it! love your visit from your mom. You need to take that drive now that the leaves are changing- gorgeous!
Those are great pictures. I'm realizing more and more how bad my camera sucks. I am not a wind fan, but I do love the rain, especially big loud thunderstorms.
I am so opposite, Syd. I grew up with 100 mph wind all the time. Wind makes me just irritable. But... a nice breeze... LOVE IT.
