iN tHe SpiRiT
I finally feel that the spirit of Christmas is with me. That sounds so lame, I know, but alas it's here and just in time. I have been so busy with projects this month that my mind has been off somewhere else. So here is my story of how the 'holiday cheer' fell upon me... My amazing Aunt called me up one day and asked if she could stop by for a visit. Excited just to see her you can imagine the pure joy I felt when she presented me with two tickets to the Nutcracker ballet and some cash. I LOVE the ballet. I mean I REALLY love the ballet. Every Christmas season for the last 16 or so years I have been in or gone to the Nutcracker. This year it was looking like we might not make it due to a tighter Christmas budget. Lets just say there might have been some tears over the matter {on my part}. I'm not joking when I say that My Aunt Vonnie was inspired from the man above in this kind act, and yes even more tears came because of it {I told you I loved the ballet}. The big night was last night and my wonderful hubby and I got all dolled up for the evening. As usual I teared up during the Snowflake scene and pretty much cried like a baby through the Waltz of the Flowers {my favorite dance/song} until the finale. Yes, Adam is a great trooper for sitting by me and not fleeing the play. Thank you, thank you Vonnie for such a wonderful gift. Christmas, I'm ready when you are!

I'm proud to say that I was in attendance at many of those beautiful performances of yours. I can see why you have such a connection. I'm so glad you were able to go. That IS heaven sent. I'll bet Christmas isn't Christmas for you without your yearly Nutcracker fix.
Lots of Love!

Oh Syd - Our love for dance and how much we miss it!!! I still have not been to see The Nutcracker since my last performance--- why? I know tears will flow uncontrollably and I don't know if I will be able to stop!!! I love dance so much and wish I could just pick it right back up (and be able to do everything I used to as well!!!). Tell Vonnie she is the bestest.
Love you guys!
and P.S. I REALLY love your outfits. Can I hire you to be my stylist? Get back to me on that.
Of course you can come and visit while the Hatch's are here! Do you want to come to my New Years eve party w/ the Bundys, Caspersons and Petersons? If not, come any other time. Can't wait to see you gusy
Lovely! That is the best news ever. She is a great aunt. You and Adam are looking gorgeous and glam!
Who did you dance with growing up?? (I danced with Julie Goodfellow, we must have been competition rivals, and I never knew!) I love the ballet too... :) What an awesome aunt you have! Lucky girl! (and you look stunning in your pictures!!)
I mean, who did you dance for, was it Jennifer?
I'm so happy you enjoyed it Syd. That was the goal! You deserve good things in life and I know how much you love Nutcracker. When I think of Nutcracker, I think of you. May it ever be so. We'll have to go together one of these years.
