weekend in heaven

This last weekend Adam and I went to Heaven on Earth (aka Rupert Idaho). Perfect weekend, jammed packed with good times and good people. We got there on Thursday and started our fun off with lunch at Stevo's to eat some freakin good steak fries with mom and Mckynlee. We spent that evening at the Twin temple doing sealings with the folks and Nick and Tina. First time with that experience and I loved it. Finished the night off with dinner and a molten lava at Chilis.

Friday brought a visit from Tina and the boys. I gave Tina a trim while Adam had fun with the little punksters. Later on we drove to good ol Oakley. This was Adam's first experience there and it was a good one. I'm not going to lie.... I have a love for that town and the people there. We went to their High School Homecoming football game and the whole town was there and that's not an exaggeration. We had a tail gate dinner before the game stated and then watched the game from the back of a truck. My favorite part of course was watching Marnie's drill team perform at half time. Loved it!!!

We spent the night there and then got up at 6:30 a.m. to drive back and meet the girls at the old Minico Highschool for the yearly craft fair. For those of you who don't know me I am not a morning person! Needless to say I struggled for a few hours. After going around and getting some fun purchases and ideas we headed to g-birds for craft time. Dae had us all lined out in this area...we made awesome date books. I will have to do a post of it another day, but CUTE hardly describes them.

Some of us took a break in between crafting and went to my little nephew Brody's football game. Can I just tell you how impressed I am it this little dude. Who has the guts to play football against kids that are twice your size? Well, he does. Let me just add that these kids are his age or a year older. Some of them are huge...they even made me feel small!

Touch down dance.

Every time they got in their huddle Brody went in the middle and the other teammates would gather around him. Kid it still makes me smile! Later that night we had a Halloween party with the Smith fam.

Beau, Bailey, Brody

Dae made a sweet witch that was perfect for her scary story she read to us.

Ronan, and Kynlee.

Grandpa scared a few of the grandkids with his welding mask... he had to tone it down it bit so they would go to his door.

Crew man.

Bobbing for apples and donut racing was funny. Especially when little Hendricks snatched a donut from the string when no one was watching and then continued to eat the whole thing!

Our last day there we just had fun shooting some pics on the giant hay bails in the field at my parents.I will always have a love for the country in the fall.

What a fun weekend! I haven't been to your hometown for a LONG time and Brody has never been there! We need to plan a time to go there sometime. But not before we come to Provo and see you guys and your new house! Hopefully it will be soon. I love those pictures on the hay bails.

How super fun! I loved them all but the football ones were sweet! It's the little fast guys that can play with the big guys cause they can totally out run them!

Wow- where to start? That was a fabulous weekend. I'm glad you all had so much fun. First off, I didn't think G-bird could do sealings w/o fainting? Did she survive? I love the traditions of Oakley football and how the whole town supports it. That's awesome. The craft fair sounded fun, but your home crafting even funner. I love that little Brody is playing FB! That is awesome. Watching my boys play (esp as little guys) is one of my favorite things. Nick Jr. looked cute as superman- and the giant hay bails were awesome. I loved seeing and reading about the fun Smith family weekend.
